About This Game A hack'n'slash adventure game with heavy emphasis on exploration and dungeon crawling while using rogue-lite elements such as over-the-top items, permadeath, and random generation. A game our userbase affectionately refers to as "The Binding of Zelda" 50+ VARIOUS ITEMSEvery item is designed to shift the way you play: from standard buffs to combat enhancements to new ways of traversing puzzles, items are made to work together and grant the player cool item combinations every time they play. A CHANGING WORLDBy progressing further and completing dungeons, the story introduces new bosses to defeat, tougher enemies to fight and more complex environments to conquer. PRE-BUILT DUNGEONSWithin each randomly generated world is a matching pre-existing dungeon that introduces new mechanics, enemies and story elements into the main game.STUFF TO HIT20+ bosses to defeat, dozens of enemies to grind out for gold, the works. A RESPONSIVE SOUNDTRACKOur original soundtrack adapts during gameplay to match the pace of battle. 1075eedd30 Title: The Story Goes OnGenre: Action, Adventure, Casual, IndieDeveloper:Scarecrow ArtsPublisher:Scarecrow ArtsRelease Date: 2 Mar, 2018 The Story Goes On Free Download [Patch] TL:DR - Fun roguelike action game.Note; I used the xbox360 controller to play this game. It is also playable with the keyboard but I didn't test the game with the keyboard.First and foremost, this is a roguelike game - If you die, you are restarting the game. You can unlock other characters in your playthroughs and each character has different stats and abilities. The gameplay starts by dropping you in a room - Left took me to a control tutorial (which unfortuantly was for keyboard commands vs. controller commands). Right took me to the game. The basic premise of the game is you go from room to room, getting upgrades, killing monsters and ultimately searching for the boss key to unlock the boss door and fight the boss. Levels are randomly generated and like any game of this nature might mean you are swimming through with tons of upgrades or struggling to survive underneath waves of enemies. Between levels you are dropped into a shop and can use your hard earned points to purchase upgrades or take a gamble on a random effect. The characters start with three hearts which when hit degrade by one half heart which effectively gives you six hit points. Rarely, a heart will drop to refill two hps. For the most part, enemies followed predictable patterns which made surviving not incredibly hard.Overall, it is a pretty fun roguelike game.Achievements: I'm an achievement junkie and always like to point these out when in a game. I haven't unlocked them all yet, but the ones I've gotten have unlocked without a problem.. The Story Goes On is a top-down action-RPG with roguelike elements. While there have been an awful lot of those lately, this one brings a lot of great new ideas to the table. The game's main advantages include that the basic combat mechanics feel great and the controls are all very solid. It's quite atmospheric and aesthetically pleasing, with an above-average orchestral soundtrack and an interesting artstyle making use of parallax scrolling. Finally, the late-game content, the "dungeons", are all beautifully-crafted.Conversely, there's not much to do compared to other, similar games -- you can see everything it has to offer in about 4 hours. In addition, the game is /extremely/ easy. With even average luck with items, almost everything becomes completely unthreatening and most bosses will go down in less than fifteen seconds. I also encounted several rather nasty bugs, including getting stuck in walls and occasionally crashing upon death.Despite that, I enjoyed it, was worth experiencing.. It's a extremely fun game lots of items and different ways to fight 9/10. I bought this game for only €0,49 on Fanatical. Having played the game a couple of hours, I decided I wanted to buy a few more keys for my friends: impossible, as the game was (auto) removed from the bundle (Bumper Pick & Mix[www.fanatical.com]); limited amount of keys? This game is a true work of art -- as you can sense here among the updates (since 2015, maybe earlier...) -- and it feels like a 93,87% steal for only €0,49, at which it's definitely worth a recommendation!93,87/100 Would support Scarecrow Arts' 2nd game with €7,50 -- as a backer.. The game is amazing,a little adictive and moast importntly fun. Well having played lots of developer versions and versions before the game was even on early access, I've had lots of experience with this game. It's grown at an amazing rate and for an indie game made by 3 college kids, it's ♥♥♥♥ing amazing. It's a hack n' slash game but it still remains very entertaining and relaxed. I love playing this game while listening to my music. It's a really chill and entertaining game and I definately recommend it. Totally worth the price!MORE TECHNICALThe game runs really well, you could play this on any computer really. The game mechanics are great, the design is amazing. There are a couple upcoming bugs but they usually get fixed in updates very quickly. Malcolm and his friends are doing Early Access right, with the game getting progressively better due to bug fixes and game updates every couple weeks. This game is very well crafted. If you are a fan of Binding of Issac or Hyperlight Drifter you will most likely enjoy this game. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for something new to play. :). Quite Addictive; Definitely a game worth checking out. This uniquely styled top-down hack and slash game is definitely worth the time and money you put into it!. Something like a poor man's diablo 3 ! its fun il give it that ! il come back and review it again afther i play it a little more !
